De-constructing Trauma with Ahana Kochr’s Authetic Brain Re-Programming

NLP is a psychological approach that involves analysing and modifying human behaviour by using Neurological processes, Linguistic and Behavioural patterns. The subconscious mind stores all our memories, beliefs, experiences, and emotions. More importantly, it also guides our habitual behaviours and emotional responses. Your subconscious mind keeps on constructing thoughts, ideas and beliefs. When you use NLP tools and games, your subconscious mind goes through a shift wherein the belief systems, thoughts and ideas that are holding you back are deconstructed. The next step after deconstruction is one of metamorphosing, where your subconscious mind enters a state of optimal creation of positive thoughts, ideas and belief systems. These changes can be made in 3 areas of an individual’s life. The areas are:

1. Neurological Processes:

  • How people use their senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell) to process information.
  • Creating a strong association between a specific stimulus (e.g., a touch, a word, or a visual cue) and a desired emotional state. By repeatedly linking the stimulus to the state, the brain forms a neural pathway that can trigger the positive state whenever the stimulus is present. This is useful for battling against addictions.
  • Reframing changes the way the brain interprets situations by altering the meaning attached to experiences

2. Linguistic patterns:

  • Identifying language patterns such as metaphors, presuppositions, modal operators and nominalizations
  • Challenging and rephrasing limiting language patterns to open up new perspectives. For example, rephrasing of questions changing the focus from limitation to possibility
  • Linking a positive emotional state to a specific word or phrase. By repeating this word or phrase, individuals can trigger the desired emotional response in various situations.

3. Behavioural patterns:

  • Identifying negative or limiting beliefs and behavioural patterns that hinder their personal or professional growth. These patterns are often ingrained in the subconscious mind and can be challenging to recognize without guidance.
  • Changing the way one perceives a situation, thereby altering its meaning and impact. By shifting perspective, individuals can see challenges as opportunities and transform negative thoughts into positive ones.
  • Associating a desired emotional state with a specific trigger or stimulus, such as a word, gesture, or image. By doing this, individuals can invoke feelings of confidence, calm, or motivation in situations where they previously felt anxious or uncertain.
